It's a quite impressive historical monument. The views from the top are stunning. You are allowed to visit only with a guide and the tour lasts almost 45 minutes. You have to pay almost 15 for a less than one hour visit. Simply too expensive!

Interesting place and worth the visit. The tour in English was very nicely presented and our guide showed confidence and professionalism. Not many people/tourists because of COVID-19
Su Nuraxi means \The Nuraghe\ It is a nuragic archaeological site located in Barumini, Sardinia, Italy. The oldest part of the Nuraghe consists of a 18.6m high central tower with three chambers. Su Nuraxi is a settlement consisting of a 17th century BCE Nuraghe, a bastion of four corner towers plus a central one, and a village inhabited from the 13th to the 6th century BCE that developed around the Nuraghe. They are considered by scholars the most impressive expression of the Nuragic civilization and were included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997 as Su Nuraxi di Barumini. The real function of the nuraghe is still debated. It could be a fortress , refuge, civil or even parliament or registered the village chief, while the towers were added perhaps intended for military purposes and stock. Other archaeologists believe that the oldest part of the complex was destined for a religious purpose.
Lovely historic area with stone age buildings. Good for anyone interested in archeology and architecture. Guided tours in Italian and English. Go during off peak times as tour groups can create a congested situation in the tighter spaces. There are narrow confined spaces and steep staircases.
We arrived here at 4pm. We hadn’t pre-booked and it wasn’t necessary to. Its 14euro per ticket, which gives you a guided tour (being guided is compulsory). We couldn’t go inside the structure as there is work being done (hence 4 star review), but you can still go around and over, and the guide was really informative and easy to understand. We stayed about 45mins here, and then walked to the restaurant over the road for a drink and food.
