Decent choice of lagers and ales, check Facebook whether there's any promotions on. Chicken burgers we had tasted great, but an ice cube would've been a touch warmer. Unfortunately for non-smokers the enforcement of the smoking rules when the canopy is closed is ignored so be prepared to smell like an ashtray the next day.

Chicken cooked beautifully. They were offering a really good deal for 2 to share of a whole chicken, 2 sides and 2 beers for 17.50. The only downside is the chicken needed some sauce and there weren't many options and the bbq tasted more like brown sauce, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Really good bar but in current situation are not handling things well, the most miserable young lad always on the gate who is more interested in his phone then welcoming you, once lazily pointed to an area of the bar leaving you to guess where you actually are being seated you then have the game of \guess how this works getting your drinks\ as no explanation has been given. Leaving us sat wondering for 15 minutes being ignored until finally managing to flag down a member of staff who commented \you should have let us know you were ready\ crazy!! We were planning on staying a while but with people just walking around with no face coverings on we decided that we would go elsewhere. I am sorry as I used to love this place but it has turned miserable and unwelcoming. I know that the current climate hasn't made things great but doesn't stop customer service being important.

I’m not one to write reviews, but have to share my experience as I left in tears from the way the ‘head doorman’ spoke to me and treated me and my sister last night. I’ve never experienced such horrible treatment from anyone. My sister stood up to go to the toilet and he aggressively yelled to sit down, this was even acknowledged by other customers who stared over. Then I kindly asked if we could move seats to one with a heater, and he literally yelled back saying no and said “because I say so” and gave no explanation and said my drink was my last, even though I was stone cold sober and only bought 1 drink the whole night I can’t even explain how aggressive he was, such strange behaviour, he is a bully and made me have a horrible night out. Otherwise the other staff all lovely x

Yardbird In the middle of the cathedral quarter in a old warehouse building above the Dirty Onion bar. There is a one way system in place to accommodate social distance. We had 1/4 chicken, skin on fries, and salad. No complaints, staff pleasant and helpful, nice cold beer. Simple food done well, a regular stop for me when in Belfast
