City of Belton, Missouri water is expensive. I mean, what are we being charged for??? Water is not this expensive. Are we paying for leaky pipes they don't want to fix them?? Are we paying some greedy salaries?? We need answers or everyone needs to get together and sue the city!!! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!! And it's the most awful tasting water I've ever had!!!!!!!!

Pretty frustrated. You have to sign up for services before 3 pm or it's not done that day. I arrived at 315 as soon as the internet company was done at my house. Cant get it turned on today. Well, tomorrow they are closed (July 3rd) and they're closed on weekends. So now I'm going from Thursday to Monday with no water. I have a ten month old in the house and wasnt able to get it turned on any sooner. Water, a basic human necessity should be able to be turned on sooner than that.
Water bill keeps getting higher and higher. It's my highest bill barely can afford it.
The water bill is extremely high and I can never get someone on the phone when I need to. Terrible water company and definitely the most expensive water Bill's I've seen.
I thought it was just me but, seems like everyone is having the same problem..water bills. Ridiculously crazy high. If you're looking at moving to belton, THINK AGAIN ! Water bill will be in the hundreds..higher than electric or any other bill. Ridiculous! I happened to water my lawn this fall and my bill came 400s, so they have charged me the sewer charge although the water didn't go down the sewer. I didn't know about the \winter average\ option they have (just moved in this year) and they wouldn't give me a break. I mean, charge me for the water..not sewer which i did not use. I talked to billing department to see if there is anything they can do for me, and i was told i could change to winter plan otherwise, i am my own with the bill. No reason a water bill should be the highest bill in the household...i have never had a water bill higher than 50-60s, but my average has been 160-170s which is the highest water bills i have pain in my lifetime. It's a house, so i would understand if it went up a little bit, but above 100? We don't take 3 showers now that we are in a house. It doesn't make sense. It's a small, nice town, just bought a house here and honestly, the water bill is making me start to regret. Very unfortunate.
