Pay to stand and watch my daughter, really. The place is no where near capacity. If they were actually worried about capacity it would be along the lines of you have to be skating to stay. Did I pay nope. LAST TIME EVER COMING HERE. What a pathetic way to make extra money.

We reserved skating for my eight-year-old son. This is a municipal rink, not a for-profit. And yet, without warning, when we arrived they told us that due to covid-19 everyone coming would have to pay 10 to buy the ticket and enter. I would not be permitted to enter even just to help my 8 year old get his skates on or to watch from a distance. I told him I wasn't skating and they suggested I stay outside because I would be taking a spot of someone behind me in line who wanted to skate. I asked do you want me to send my 8 year in alone? They said it's up to you but if you want to come in even just to watch him you must pay for the ticket and if you do that you are taking a space of someone who wants to skate. Everyone was masked and capacity limitations are understood. However, management did not think that decision through carefully. There are many children there and they should not be operating with the idea of making profit off of parents who are just watching. If the parents aren't skating then they aren't costing the facility money anyway. Meanwhile, when my son wanted to use the bathroom, none of the workers could find the keys so he had to leave and we had to drive a mile down the road to Wawa just to use the bathroom. There were well over 200 people at this rink and no bathroom! The workers are all just young guys who probably play hockey and got a part-time job at the rink. At one point I asked if I could just talk to the manager and pass on my observations but they said no management present!??? I am not someone who complains and I try to go with the flow but the situation at this rank is ridiculous!
