We ordered four pallets of materials from OTBS, they arrived a day early so we didn’t have anywhere to put the pallets. After asking them to place the pallets on the street they insisted on delivering the order outside our house. Long story short, they lost control of the truck mounted crane and it swung repeated into the front of our house, it caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to our 130 year old house, breaking the wooden sash windows, the stone pillars and sills. The stress and inconvenience was intolerable. We received no formal apology from head office and in the end they got quite rude and told us to go away and talk to their insurance company. After two months of phoning and emailing the insurance company and loss adjusters to negotiate a cost to make the repairs, we finally got a payout. We achieved this ourselves without any help from head office. Now we just have to wait another 6-8 weeks before the work can start and our house becomes a building site again, for which we received no compensation. This company doesn’t seem to understand basic moral duties, they couldn’t care less if they damage your property and if they do, they expect you to sort it out with their insurance company. It was a truly awful experience.
