A good restaurant to have local experience in Beşiktaş. They serve traditional meatballs, soup, salad and deserts, menu is very simple so don’t expect variety. Here you’ll also get to see a typical 90s Istanbul restaurant with all the photos on the walls and the traditional setting. Recommended for lunch particularly as most of the locals who work in the area go there during lunch time and you’ll get to try the food fresh and observe the local culture.

Best turkish köfte, recommended

The restaurant is fan of besiktas and you may eat Kofte with the taste of a football match! 16tl for each kofte dish seems logical.

Great authentic Turkish meatballs - must try

Excellent if you are looking for a true (not touristy or trendy) food experience. Serve traditional turkish meatballs. Try them with a bean salad (piyaz) and halva as dessert.

One of the oldest and most traditional restaurants in Besiktas. If you are in the neighbourhood step in for some meatballs, piyaz(bean salad) and helva. You can see the historical photos framed on the walls from Besiktas and other Istanbul teams' football players, managers etc. You can also order \tursu\ (pickles)from the next door pickle house, which is alao one of the oldest and tastiest of the area.
