Bilbao, Spain
Funikularreko Plaza, S/N,

One of the things to visit when in Bilbao. If you can take it to the top then walk back down along prepared tracks. At the top there is no much except excellent vows of the city and the sea/ airport on the other side. There is a park with some art on the edge overlooking the city. There are also a couple of restaurants none of which we found appealing except in a taty mid-1970's way. There is prepared paths that allow you to stroll through forests on your way down so do that if you can.

2 euros for a steep ride to mountain top. Clear views of the vaaley with redtiled roofs, Guggenheim museum, new town and Casco Viejo. What’s not to love? Take a picnic or visit a local café and soak in the calm and mountain air!
Wonderful place to go up when the weather is nice:) been there more than 3 times and it is always very pretty! Good place to see the sunset
Cheap ride up to the top and well worth the view when you got up there. Not much else though, a few restaurants and that's about it. A tip for you - if you go up early afternoon on 1st January like we did today, then miss the ride down, there isn't another one till 4.30! Luckily we managed to get a bus down.
If you want to see the city from above this is the best place to go in Bilbao. Also it is really cheap.
