Absolutely brilliant for fossil hunting we found so many. Both embedded and on loose rocks. An awesome landscape. Such an enjoyable visit - not to be missed.

We visited this place when it was raining, yet we still enjoyed the walk. Make sure to wear good footwear as the rocks are tricky to walk on along the beach Stop right at the pay meter as you enter the car park and purchase your ticket so you do not have to walk all the way back to do it. Although keep an eye on the time when you need to return! Otherwise you will be fined. Once you parked, you can choose from two paths which lead to the beach. Look out for the stream that flows onto the beach. It is cute. Also you can find fossils everywhere. In small loose stones, big bolsters and loads embedded into the rocks. The cliff wall is very dark, nicely shows the different layers of rocks. You can also take a walk on top if the cliff. Be careful when it rains the surface gets very slippery and muddy.
Fantastic walks along the cliff and the beach is fascinating with the different levels and fossils everywhere. Really cool! Dog friendly which was great too and when the tide is out you can get to sandy bits which was nice. Parking is plentiful, pay machine is right at the start though, don't get caught out, we had to run all the way back up to the start to pay! Cost was 2 for 2 hours minimum spend and you need change.
Beautiful, rugged , windswept part of the North Devon coast, rock formations show the striations of millions of years, you are allowed to collect stones and small fossils so long as you don't crack the rocks open. Make sure to wear strong shoes or boots for the sharp rocks further out. Rock pools add additional interest and there are a few picnic benches on the grass leading down. Lastly pay a few pounds for home made apple juice in the honour box on the gate.
Did the full circular walk which in total was approximately 3 miles. Beautiful scenery which included coastal and countryside. Was really impressed, will definitely be giving it another visit!
Really cool place. Full of pool perfect for rockpooling and a picnic area with a couple of benches. We went right down to the waters edge, the kids said it looked like we were on the moon!
The car park is a pot holed mess run via ANPR cameras by Premier Park Exeter. The ticket machines are hard to find being situated a fair walk from the car park and they often fail to work properly plus have no card option. Just read the many accounts of 100 penalty fines people have received through the post. The beach and scenery is fantastic but don't risk parking - it'll cost you
There is a car park which you have to pay for and there are some toilets at the bottom of the car park. The beach is very stoney my children enjoyed looking in the rock pools and finding fossils. Cheep day out and so much fun exploring.
