The staff makes students wait until 12 sharp to have some lunch even though the food is ready and displayed, ‘inspection’ is what they call it. The food in general is good quality and fresh, only sometimes the rice or chips is too dry for being out too long.

It's okay. Nothing special and not great value. I also witnessed someone being asked to leave for bringing in their own food, although it was 5PM and plenty of seats were available. It's a shame to think that Sussex students/staff don't have anywhere inside they can go to eat food brought from home. I assume there's somewhere else designated for this purpose, but as a semi frequent visitor to campus I've never noticed any.

A visit to Eat Central is always a very momentous occasion for me. Solid home cooking for fantastic value how can you complain?! If I could make one suggestion it would be to make a larger size option available for like 7-8? I couldn't bring myself to buy 2x meals for a tenner that is just gratuitous! But otherwise very good stuff chaps I'm very content.
