Did not enjoy the classes or atmosphere as much as when it was golds gym. Canceling my membership was expensive and hard to do. I still get calls regularly from them trying to re-sign for a membership.

Went by today based off of multiple ads on FB talking about a no contract deal. Stopped in and had by temp taken by the guy behind the counter. Told him what I was there for. Almost immediately a sales rep practicly jogged over to me and in rapid fire talking started asking questions and seemed disappointed I knew what I wanted which was just the aquatics. He gave me a form to fill out and didn't let me finish due to him \making a sale\. He had to complete the form as quickly as possible. Kept repeating himself. As fast as he would ask a question, he was asking another before I had even answered the first one. As fast as he talked and quick jittery movements it was almost as if he had way too much caffeine. But I went in with the intent of joining for help with my disease issues. The facility was clean and quite without a lot of grunting, weight plates crashing or just loud voices. No spills noted anywhere. Lockerroom was clean and orderly. Despite all of the cleanliness didnt see anyone except the guy @ the front desk doing any cleaning. The gyms official policy is social distancing with masks as an optional choice. Despite the high pressure sales approach, I do recommend the gym for everyone. Child care available on site.

The staff is always friendly. They prioritize health and safety. Genesis has a great amount of workout equipment, so you never have to fight to use what you want. The group classes are my favorite. They are challenging and fun. Genesis is a great gym for anyone who is serious about their physical health.

How do you give zero stars to a company on Google? If I could, I would. This company is a scam and will steal money from you. Make sure to cancel NO EARLIER and NO LATER than 30 days or you will be charged. You better set a reminder to go in exactly 30 days before your contract ends EVEN IF the country is in the middle of a PANDEMIC! I could not have made it into the location to cancel even if I wanted to due to COVID-19, but I know I will not be getting my money back. On top of all that, I went in 6 months ago to cancel my membership to which I was told I had to wait EXACTLY 30 days to issue written notice of cancellation. I asked for a copy of my original contract which I’m 99% sure was forged to say 36 months. There is no way in hell I would have signed a 3 year contract after Genesis purchased Gold’s, because I didn’t like Gold’s much either, but it was my only option at the time. I have read other reviews saying that Genesis is known for forging contracts. So, if you do decide to enroll for membership with this sketchy company, keep a copy of your original contract on file.
