Incredible place you don't want to miss. Impressive huge synagogue. One of the biggest in the world. Something you've never seen when going in to a synagogue. different vibe going in. Mixture of cultures, with a somehow church lookalike. But with all the Jewish significance. Going in through the main entrance is a great feeling and seeing all it's beauty even more. Worth taking a look. Includes the museum which is great and informative. One should take the tour!

Beautiful Synagogue , the largest in Europe and the second largest in the world. There’s a 15 euro entrance fee. The synagogue provides kippas for men; women must cover arms and below the knees. Gowns can be purchased for women for one euro. Definitely worth a visit. So stunning.

This synagogue is unique in size, design, and history. It is the largest synagogue in Europe, it is designed like a church (with an organ), it is lavish, and it reflects the history of the affluent Jewish community of Budapest. Be sure to book a guide, and one who knows Jewish culture and history. There is a lot to learn about this place and it's importance in Hungary. The cemetery and monuments on the side and rear offer interesting insights into Jewish life in Budapest over the centuries.
