The food was great, service fantastic. But it nearly broke my heart that we were the only table on a Saturday night due to Covid. But I did find it rather amusing that they put mannequins at some of the tables to make the place feel a little busier.

We were looking for a non touristy restaurant that locals go to. Five of us arrived without a reservation, the place was full but luckily after a 10 minute wait a table opened up. The atmosphere is terrific. There is live music, a piano player and a terrific violinist. We had a very pleasant waiter that spoke English. Our entrees included roast duck , stuffed cabbage rolls and Hungarian goulash. They were all very good but not quite Michelin star good. The bill for 5 people including wine totalled 180. All in all a very pleasant experience, the two musicians made my night when they figured out I was a jazz fan and serenaded me with Herbie Hancock's watermelon man.
Beautiful, cozy restaurant in Budapest. Great service, exceptional food. You can have set menu with 3 courses and 3 drinks for each course. They go so well together. There was delightful live music on the night. This is one of the top notch restaurant in Budapest. It's definitely worth a visit.
Cosy restaurant with live piano and violin music(from 7pm onwards). Food was not bad! We took the 3 course set menu each, 1 with drinks (4 types of Hungarian wines to accompany each course plus aperitif drink) n 1 without. The dips to accompany with bread are very nice, especially fried pork(red colour) Must try the duck starter, very yummy! Main course duck was still alright but too salty. Dessert was alright. However do take note to ask payment by local currency if u r using card. We forgot to specify and they never ask as well till we saw the receipt. And there it was stated on the receipt that 4.5% markup included for the exchange rate. Very unfavourable rate for tourists!
We went here with a large group and were all pleasantly surprised. The menu had many options for everyone even vegans/vegetarians. The food was quite flavorful the only reason it is losing a star is because they kept playing violin and piano quite loud making our group have to tell over each other. The food came quite quick and as mentioned was quite good. The service was good and the waiters were really polite . The location is quite small so I would suggest calling for a reservation . Everyone liked their food.
Great atmosphere if a little crowded with artworks (all of which were for sale) set menu with 4 wines is great value and signature duck dishes were super. Whole meal was tasty and well presented. Waiting Staff kindly warn about the spicest peppers. Wine pairings were appropriate and live music amusing too. Would recommend to all except vegetarians as there did bot appear to be any choices for them.
Great atmosphere kind staff very nice food. Good lunch deal around 12 euro including beer!
My photo does no justice to the dining experience I have just had. Bear with the long review. A must go - a restaurant tucked in an unhappening part of Buda. What a great experience. The duck pastry as a starter, was the most unique experience. The red pepper should be eaten in the middle of the meal. It changes the entire original good taste, and transform the starter experience in a life changing manner. The entire dish, which was great in the first place, became absolutely excellent. The wine pairing too, transcended itself. The most wonder experience ever. The main half duck was generous. Again comes the Hungarian green bell pepper. Again it transforms the dish. The duck was lovely and well marinated, and went very well with the choucroute. The live violinist and Piano duet was both emotional yet mischievous. This is fine dining and traditional dining rolled into one. A must go - a restaurant tucked in an unhappening part of Buda. What a great experience.
