Hi I was diagnosed with DLBC, stage 3 high grade non Hodgkins Lynphoma on 3rd January 2018, having had a biopsy from a tonsilectomy operation on 20th Dec 2017. This was a very upsetting and difficult time for me and my family, as we didnt really know much about this blood cancer that effects the lymphatic system. Dr Channa who sadley left (Queens Hospital) to work nearer to home, was an absolutly fantastic 10/10 Doctor, who I miss greatly, was replaced by Dr Punekar, who I thank with all my heart for his kindness and seeing me through my treatment. I would also like to commend the nurses in the chemopherpy treatment room, sister Sue and my nurse Glynis and the rest of the team, for caring for me through my chemotherapy treatment. For being there at the end of the phone and looking after me when I came into the day rest room. I cannot thank A&E ambulance service and PIT-Stop staff for their quick responce and treatment I recieved when falling poorly. A heart felt thank you to my Macmillan keyworker Pat Holland and Debbie Malin, for their understanding and empathy they show in such a difficult time. And last but not least, A great big thank you and appriciation to the NHS for the money and treatment spent on me making me better xx Helen Caporale

Had opp in treatment centre excellence apart from not given any pain relief because 'I had epidural ' and shouldn't need it for 6 hrs 3 hrs in I need pain relief got very agitated and heart rate when overboard resulting in being immedialy transferred to ward 30 as I would need to be monitor all night Ha ha they had no clue why I was there and after initial taking of name etc gave me tablets for pain bp pluses and temp was taken then again at 5 in morning it was like going from a 5 star where you were spoken to and cared for to a dingy b&b who couldn't care less I did have 2 blood test taken during night but otherwise I could have had a heart attack they wouldn't of known I will not be going there again or record ending anyone else to.

I would like to thank all the staff on ward 15 for their polite courteous and professional way they treated me during my 2 day stay. I would also like to thank Mr El Halwani for the excellent surgery he performed on the removal of my saliva gland and all his team in the operating theatre. I had 5 star treatment from 5 star staff. Once again thank you all.. from Wayne.
