The site is ok for a passing night. Mainly static. The restaurant thou was worth the detour. Fabulous food cooked over an open fire.

Convenient start for visit Bardenas Reales, but terrible camping. Harsh, dry surface not possible to set a tent in a normal way. Asking for a bigger site more fitting our tent, wasn’t possible and later that night a tiny tent set up next to us on a big site... Terrible noise of the road with heavy duty transport right next to the campground. And a lot of mosquitos and flies. Better find a campground a bit further away from Bardenas Reales and have a good time... We booked two nights but didn’t return the second night.

This is a small campsite just outside the town of villafranca. The town is a typical quaint old Spanish town, lots of little shops, enough to get you by for a while. The site has very few pitches suitable for motorhomes. It's mainly full of apartment, mobile homes etc. Sanitary facilities are ok, however the water was luke warm, not good. It's very close to a busy road and a train line too, so can get noisy. We only stayed one en route home, that would be the extent I would use this site for.

To be avoided if you are alone and only have a small tent. 18 euros is an outrageous price, but obviously the pitch area is big enough to take campers and caravans. I reluctantly paid up,but when I arrived at the pitch, I knew I was going to have problems. Despite a hammer and sharp tent pegs, I was unable to erect the tent as I could not drive them into the ground sufficiently. To add to the problem, the grassy part of the pitch was muddy and flooded, the result of over irrigation. The noise from road traffic was very apparent, the whole experience very much at odds with campsites all over the Pyrenees. I've offered 1 star because although the man on reception appeared surly and humerlous, he did give me a refund.
