Bought the fabulous Ladies Reno’s towards the end of 2020, having conducted an extensive search for stylish, warm, practical country boots that could survive a daily drenching and deal with horse duties and muddy, waterlogged Welsh fields. Quite by chance I came across Brandecosse, and it was not a brand I’d heard of before, as the country boot market tends to be dominated by some pretty familiar country brands! I’m so glad I took a chance with these boots, as they haven’t let me down once. Even my partner commented on the fact that a quick hose down at the end of these days duties is all it takes to get them looking brand new again. As a Raynauds sufferer I am notorious for my cold feet, but the incredibly soft, top quality shearling lining (which even extends to cover the footbed) has meant I’ve not had one cold toe yet. While we’re talking soles, I believe the boot is constructed in such a way that when my sole does eventually wear out, it can be easily replaced, which is not the case with all country boots. These boots seem to be a well kept secret, but I’ve been busy extolling their virtues to any one interested on and offline! I have the unlined Maria’s too, for when the weather warms up! I’m a 39 in both boots (my normal size) although the Maria’s feel a little more snug over my foot, not sure why? Customer service is great so it’s well worth calling Jane to discuss footsize if you’ve any doubts. These are pretty much the perfect boots for me, and they have really been put to the test! The cherry on the top would be different calf options as I’m normally a narrow/slim fit in other boots. This isn’t as noticeable with the Reno’s, but my Maria’s are quite roomy. However it’s a small price to pay for a no leaks, leather country boot of the highest quality I’ve come across so far.

Rubicon boots arrived marked with some kind of glue on show. It was located by the toe area and not near the soles. I contacted the marketing manager who offered to pay the return postage which was over 16 (I used the exact courier service they used) but when they never contacted me I decided to call and he then refused to reimburse me for the postage saying it wasn't there policy and that it scratched off. He explicitly said originally that they would pay the return postage. That's why I have left a 1 star rating. Boots were also very hard and needed alot of wear in my opinion before there comfortable.
