Noor Inayat Khan is listed as a recipient of the George Cross. She also has a statue in Gordon Square in Bloomsbury. Rare to see a woman acknowledged on a war memorial.

Rather hidden away, on the ceiling there are named of those who have sacrificed a lot for the motherland. Those who are the colonial generation will understand that these symbols mean both pride but sadness that not more are acknowledged
