Rather hidden away, on the ceiling there are named of those who have sacrificed a lot for the motherland. Those who are the colonial generation will understand that these symbols mean both pride but sadness that not more are acknowledged
Opened by Queen Elizabeth in 2002, these columns and structures commemorate the five million members of the British Commonwealth who fought in the two 20th century world wars. It specifically honours the 74 recipients of the Victoria Cross and George Cross.
As an Indian I felt so happy to see this monuments. This place aside Buckingham palace is beautiful spot.
