Stopped at this lovely place for lunch. Set in a Victorian school. Very spacious and modern, child friendly. Sandwiches, soup and baked potatoes are amongst some of the food offerings. We were made to feel very welcome. The lady who served us spoke kindly to my children and offered them crisps and cucumber with their sandwiches rather than salad and coleslaw. Lovely experience would definitely visit again.

Don't you just love a tea room. Lovely to get good service and food. Some great art to buy by local artists.
Probably the warmest and most sincere welcome we've had during our stay in The Lakes. Good food, reasonably prices. And tea from tea leafs - not bags! Who does that anymore. Set in an old school house (closed 1991) lots of locally made gifts on show for sale.
I have been visiting here yearly on holiday since opening, the food is always fab, lovely hosts and they welcome young families
Superb takeaway bacon roll&caramel shortbread, sat on head end looking across the beautiful solway plain
