The blackened fish risotto was delicious!! There was a ton of shrimp and sausage. My boyfriend had the oyster Rockefeller. He said they were a little over cooked but good. The alligator was good but a little salty. The drinks were excellent. I'll definitely visit again.

The red beans, rice, and sausage was not good at all. It was a complete flop. The wedge salad wasn't a wedge. I'm Very disappointed in my experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
I always say you can judge a place by its burger and based on that alone from this first visit absolutely wonderful.
As a native New Orleanian I am super picky and judging hard when it comes to places calling themselves \cajun\ or \creole\ restaurants. I was pleased to find Dodie's!! The grilled oysters are damn good and the boiled shrimp could've come from Deanie's!! So so so good!! The boudin balls are spot on and the fried seafood was delicious as well. The one dark spot for me was the roast beef \poboy\. First of all it's not a poboy, more like a roast beef sandwich with gravy on the side (not really impressed with either tbh). To top it off it's a Saints bar in Dallas!! This place has become my new go to!! Happy to have a little New Orleans right here in Texas!!
