Took my 17 & 18yo boys on 1/17/21. A cold days so not many people. But as always, the staff were excellent and thoroughly professional. I had a ew\ AR, only 2nd time using it on the range. It was not sighted properly. They called down one of their experts, Joe, who spent at least 30 minutes with me sighting it in. He was amazing and so helpful. You just can't beat this place for quality. And price! 4 for an hour??? Come on!!!

3 buys you an hour at the finest quality shooting range I've ever been to. (Military ranges, indoor ranges, members only ranges, I've been to quite a few!) The grounds have been transformed. Gone are the gravel roads and lots, the dirt berms and spartan facilities. Busch range is a gorgeous engineering marvel of concrete and steel plate ensuring 100% retention of every round fired into the bullet traps. Regimented procedures ensure complete safety at all times. Rifle and pistol ranges are combined. One wing of approximately 20 lanes allows shooting up to 50 yards. The other large wing allows shooting up to 100 yards. Target stands are easily moved, visible, durable and unlimited paper targets are available close to your shooting booth. Highly suggest both ear plugs AND earmuffs in case you get next to someone with a muzzle brake or other very loud firearm. One downside is the one round every three seconds and no drawing from a holster which precludes any useful USPSA or IDPA pistol practice. Truly an awesome place, ran by one of if not the best state conservation departments in the nation. Can't wait to come here again!
Some people will never be happy but, I think this is an awesome place to shoot. Best use of taxpayers money ever. It’s good to shoot at a place with good safety rules. The only people who would get mad at the rules probably are terribly unsafe shooters anyway
BE WARNED STEEL-CASE USERS It's a complete toss-up whether or not the RO on duty will let you use it. Some of the desk guys are inexperienced and can't tell the difference between bimetal steel case and steel core ammunition. They'll just hold it up to the magnet and seek it's divine wisdom and aren't in the mood to argue otherwise. The range itself is fantastic, easily the best public range in Missouri. The 100-yard lanes are especially fantastic.
