Six GP's working part time ! My husband has had a terrible cough for weeks and has not been seen once by any of the medical staff and repeated phone calls for help have been met with having to repeat his symptoms yet again as it seems impossible to talk to the same GP. After being prescribed two lots of penecillin and more recently an inhaler we are still awake most nights whilst he continues to cough up more white phlegm. What do we have to do to get him a full examination before this ends in tears ??

I had a very rare very painful highly infected ear. on the first visit I was told that I had shingles in the ear and was given 5 days because apparently after 5-days antibiotics stop working says doctor. so I return a further two times for a further two other courses of antibiotics so that was three unnecessary courses of oral antibiotics. on the fourth visit to the doctor for the same ear infection the doctor decided to swap my earand gave me a fourth medication in the form of a spray antibiotic and steroid. now the results have come back they're found the rare infection told me all the antibiotics I was given were useless and I was to need a fifth medication. I questioned the practice manager who was unsympathetic disregarding the faults diagnosis and unable to comprehend and fathom the fact how i hadbhad mistreatien saying none of us can have an opinion because none of us are physicians. the practice manager is more negligent than the doctor's.

This review is for Mr. Khwaja consultant urologist who does private practice in Willington Surgery under Circumcision for babies. We took our baby for circumcision, all went well but at the time of making payment I asked if I could make payment by card that’s when there was an unprofessional attitude. His tone changed and said that it was clearly mentioned in the text that we should bring cash and furthermore we were also told over the phone to bring cash. Yes it was mentioned in the text which I overlooked might be because of the fact that who does payment in cash nowadays especially with COVID-19 around. I kept my calm and asked if he could provide his account details then I would just transfer in minutes. He eventually provided his account details but what was the need of that unnecessary attitude. He could have just said that there is a cash machine down the road less than a minute drive which I came to know after I asked the receptionist because after all of that I really wanted to make payment in cash which I did. It’s disappointing to see such an attitude from a doctor especially when you are also a doctor. Would I recommend him to anyone after this, No.

For non urgent advice I would strongly recommend the online consultation process reached via the practise web site. I have used it on 3 occasions, related to a recent hernia operation and have found it ‘spot on’ in terms of available online advice, follow up appointments if needed and also guidance over the phone. Much much easier than either ringing or visiting the surgery to book an appointment. Some very useful self help guides too! Would recommend especially as we enter the ‘Even busier’ winter period.
