It's a great place to take a nice easy walk through the woods. Great place to take your dogs or kids. Wonderful historical buildings. It is currently not open in the inside to the public, but when it is. It's a great place to have tea, play crochet, and enjoy the beautiful antiques. There is also a pretty interesting tomb from the original owners or inhabitants out in the wooded area. My husband likes to fly his drone around in the open field. You can also go sledding when it snows. Its just a great and cool place to go in all different weather conditions and extremely beautiful.

Since the house is closed right now due to Covid, I can’t say much about it. But if you’re coming only for the gardens, they’re not expansive. There’s a pretty but small formal garden in back of the house, and an overgrown cutting garden on the other side of the entrance road, as well as a local community garden area. Maybe you can find the small mausoleum in the woods that’s noted on the map. I looked but couldn’t find it. Looks interesting. There are woods trails as well. Looks like a vibrant place for community events in normal times.

My husband and I love this place! We've hiked the trail there and it's really nice and shaded. If you go in the summer bring bug spray. The grounds are beautiful! I just wish the museum was open, it's been closed due to covid.
