You can't gt lost here since its only a small airport. Facilities are clean and well managed. Airport staffs are friendly. We were here during the holiday season last Dec. 21 and the airport itself is not full.

Be careful as you are not allowed to enter the plane without a surgical mask although you might have a perfectly fine mask that you might even consider more efficient. Yet, nobody will tell you in advance, including the security staff. Also, all the announcements you will hear and the instructions you might find before getting to the gate will only tell you to wear a mask, not a surgical mask so you might be taken by surprise by this detail. Not to say that this information is really difficult if not impossible to be found on the airport's website. I am really disappointed by the lack of professionalism and common sense of the airport staff, who just put us in the situation to go to other passengers and beg for surgical masks as there were no pharmacies around nor they had masks to offer. Furthermore, I need to mention that our masks were just fine on our flight to Cagliari and also were accepted by all the authorities we encountered in Italy/Sardinia during our vacation so I consider our experience at the airport unnecessary and out of scope, given the fact that the staff's concern was solely the need to have a surgical mask, not to actually make sure that they are worn properly and everyone is protected. Last, I don't mind respecting the rules as long as they are clearly stated all over the airport and by the security staff as well (not to mention the lack of clear information on the airport's website) so maybe the airport can use this opportunity to improve their communication strategy.

The airport is small, well managed for COVID-19. The inbound process out of the airport was pretty swift and smooth. While in inbound we have seen a very long queue, hence better to arrive plenty of time at the \check-in

Clean and tidy with good signage. Easy access across all levels and facilities a plenty. Limited options for food or drinks at present due to covid restrictions (excellent marshaling and safety precautions in place) but there are vending machines available so bring some cash. I managed to get a uk gov NHS covid test before I got here and the police were happy to accept the phone text response as proof as my date of birth matched my Italian government documents and also my passport. Pick up area has limited shelter so if the weathers bad have a rain Coat handy.

Easy access by train (1.30) and quick through to the gates. Few people due to Corona. Some shops in duty free selling typical produce from sardinia and at much higher prices than in town... a couple of cafes to eat or drink while waiting. Free wifi ;-)
