Useful at times when it's not late and when the bus driver decides to actually stop for you

They have a bizarre rule about who can have a scan pass and force you to have paper tickets if you don't qualify (using pointless logic) but paper tickets are dreadful oversized things which don't fit in your pocket and are not waterproof!! If they get wet and can't be read, expect a surly reaction from the driver! On the other hand, if you get a proper pass that doesn't disintegrate with little encouragement, they'll moan that you shouldn't have one. Even when the bus driver who sold it to you complained that you didn't have one and forced you to buy one to travel!! If there are going to be multiple bus services with tickets that can cross the services, there needs to be consistency in the way they operate, rather than expecting the long suffering customers to play piggy in the middle. And also, stop forcing people to have paper tickets that self destruct after a couple of hours for any duration longer than a day.
I would like to know why First keep putting on single deckers on the early rush hour 52a from Hillsborough to the hospital. You often cant get on and buses go straight past stating \bus full\. How about running double deckers, so people can get to work/appointments on time- is it too difficult?
Egregious customer service. Poor adherence to timetables. Dirty and untidy buses with food and random liquid on the floor. Blah blah blah. Please see the large list of negative comments below. Does anybody from First monitor these reviews? Inconsistent ticket prices. Obscenities scrawled on seat-backs. Blah blah. . . 0 stars.
