I read a previous not very positive reviews and I would like to say that I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. The zoo itself is quite big and there are plenty of different animals. Yes, it's not a London zoo but for such a small town as Frejus it's huge. We got at the feeding time and saw all the fruits animals eating. All animals in the good shape and you can see baby animals too) We spend like half an hour watching baby baboon playing. Im pretty sure if the zoo will have more funds thanks to visitors it will be on the great level. I wish an elephant will have more water maybe. And it would be great if animals stories like Lily the tiger story was in English too. I recommend it to kids and adults too.

The zoo was empty no visitors or staff, the animals were sad and lonely.. The space is nice but very melancholic.. I do not recommend it if you are looking for a fun day out with children at least not in the month of April, maybe in the summer it looks better. BTW gift shop toilets and snack back are closed on week days.

Hmmm! As I know naturally about the animals... ok except some of them such as the elephant.... they extremely need the water in summer but, indeed, there's no water and .... nothing at all. Imagine, that was you....did you think that was the very terrible life? They don't love the animals and they don't understand about wildlife at all.

The zoo is a little tired looking but the animals are well looked after and there is a good variety to see. Zoos play an important part in the protection of endangered species and it is worth a visit. My 5 year old in particular enjoyed it.

Nice place to visit with the kids, however it took a long time to get a single burger (45m) at the snackbar, also some animals are kept very lonely and the entrance prices are too expensive compared with what you get. I don't think I would recommend it
