I’m a big fan, count on me as a new loyal! I recently moved to Glendale, and I’m a major animal lover who also tries my best to spend money at smaller & local businesses. Found this one online for a very specific venture. I had started a new compost project in the backyard of my new home, and since I’d done this before, I knew exactly the species of worms I needed to add into our scraps bin to make everything decompose faster, to turn it into nutrient-dense fertilizing garden soil. I had called before my visit, thinking they might not have live worms of that species in-stock. The phone rang & raaang, so I just showed up. Looking around the store, I can definitely tell you every animal I saw looked superbly healthy & all the habitats were decently cared for. (Side note: I’ve personally owned many of these types of animals as pets, so I’m familiar with what they need, how they act when they’re healthy or not, etc). For a relatively small store, I didn’t see any lack of variety in feed, supplies, toys, etc. and it was BUSY in there. So I quickly figured out why they didn’t answer the phone. Anyways, I didn’t find the type of worms I needed—which was annoying at first—but then he told me he’d be happy to add them into their weekly shipment. Turns out, I got about 50 of them for maybe 10? They came less than a week later. Amazon charges about 30 for that same species of them, about the same quantity. And when I brought them home & dumped them into my compost pile, they were definitely all actively alive & plump healthy!!

I love Pratt's. They are my local chicken place. They have different varieties of laying chiçkens. They have reptiles, birds and many more animals. If you have questions the staff are always helpful. They are busy but when they are assisting you, they will provide you great service.

Most of the time friendly and helpful people. Most of the time we'll stocked for your pets needs. Looking for a small animal pet. Check here first. Reason I say Most of the time for items...dog food brands come and go. Hedge hog food has bn missing for months.

This is my first time using this store...There were no one available to answer your question. there were 2 girls there. one was checking out customers while the other one was on the phone for 30 minutes... she could have helped many customers who were waiting there for long periods of time... I had a question in regard of my fish and i had to go to the check out line in order to ask my question. When I talked to the girl, she told me she does not have any knowledge about fish. I don't think any of them are knowledgeable about animals at all. so my advice is that do not waste your time going there. I went to Petco where not only they have employees with knowledge but also your shopping experience is going to be much efficient. The other thing I noted is that this store is very expensive.

Only ended up buying live mice but was a really awesome experience. A lot of supplies, good prices and a wide variety of animals
