My favourite Chinese, the best food! Cumin lamb and Hunan style spicy chicken are particularly delicious. Ordered a takeaway through Deliveroo from here for the first time tonight and was not disappointed, have eaten in restaurant a few times and have been missing it over lockdown. The staff are also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Would definitely recommend! Really tasty, authentic food, reasonably priced, massive portion sizes, ordered way too much. Crispy duck pancakes were amazing, king prawn fried rice had so many prawns!
Thought we would try this place out of the blue as it is participating in the government eat out scheme. I thought it would be like any other bog standard Chinese restaurant but was definitely mistaken . We ended up having wonderful evening with dishes we had never tried or seen in other places. The menu is fantastic with a really wide range of food from giant unusual hotpots to the more classic dishes. The staff were extremely friendly and take time to speak to you as actual people not just customers. The portion sizes are really large as well so you definitely get your money’s worth , they also give you takeaway boxes if you order too much like we did. Quite a small restaurant but that made it more cozy and personal . Overall a great place and highly recommend to anyone thinking about trying it. Will definitely go again with or without the government scheme , really worth it .
Small and unassuming restaurant/takeaway on London Road. I always ask for the Hunan menu, and the food blows me away. I've chatted to the owners several times, and have been offered everything from samples from the chef's own dinner, to house rice wine, to learning about Hunan itself. Mao's pork is always amazing, as are the dry pots. Such a lovely place. Yes, you might get your 7-Up served in a bottle and it's not exactly fine dining, which adds to the charm.
Amazing - Fresh, tasty and flavoursome. Highly recommended Golden Taste if you are looking for authentic Chinese food.
