Brilliant community pub. Well done to the villagers of Marston for saving it from the hands of a property developer. We've got plenty of houses and not enough pubs ! The pub and the church are the hub of a village and thank heavens both can be found here. We went to the pub on a very popular curry night. There was a lovely atmosphere in the place and the meal was fantastic. Beer was beautifully kept and the staff made us ever so welcome. A lovely night out !

Worth the two mile detour off the A1 I visited this light and spacious pub on Saturday. The style is neat and open though it's nice to have tables round the corner so you can find a quiet place to sit undisturbed. Interesting Old Norse name is Thorold. Gorgeous pint of Bateman's XB too, which is what really matters at the end of the day.
Great pub. great takeaway. Great shop
Fantastic. What a delightful establishment. Jo was superb, Manager brilliant, great food & lovely decor. Has a car park, beer garden & small shop. Well done community of Marston.
A very lovely clean and refreshing local village pub, good service. Beer and gin selection good even though the brewery want up to speed yet. Lovely well kept beer garden to sit in. Could do with a few more tables out there though.
