A very peaceful corner of London. If you have \Just a Minute\, it is well worth scanning the code on the side of th and statue, and receiving a phone call from Hodge himself! \u200d

Nice place. Clean, cozy courtyard. And a monument to a cat with an oyster. As Sigmund Freud said: \Time spend with cat is never wasted.\
A pensive Hodge posing on Dr.Johnson’s dictionary looking towards his master’s residence hopeful for another oyster or culinary titbit. Located on Gough Square off Fleet Street. Not exactly a superabundance of ambience lingering here. One of at least 5 feline statues scattered over London. Ailurophiles likely to know where they’re located .
Soooo silly. You can even hear him as a talking statue
Lovely spot to paws and listen to Nicolas Parsons as Hodge telling you some interesting info. Other talking statues a short walk away.
This is a statue of Hodge the Cat, a cat that once belongs to Dr Samuel Johnson, whose house museum is opposite the statue. The statue has a QR code which you can use to find out a little about the cat and Samuel Johnson too. The statue is okay to look at as cat statues go. There isn't much to see, but if you visiting Dr Johnson's House, then it's only a 1 minute detour.
Talking statues stories are fun
A well deserved tribute to a “very fine cat indeed”.
