I had an online application with HSBC which was refused for a student account, and I have been told to walk in to the branch to discuss about it and they may able to help you with my application if I provide some letters from uni, first of all I faced the rudest customer service I have ever seen in Scotland! She were setting in front of me while I had to stand, then she said we cannot do anything with refused applications! The question is why I have been send to the branch whilst she can’t do anything for me??? And I can see why the rating for this branch is 2 star! It was really ridiculous for me visiting this branch! Disappointed...
I banked with this branch for less than a year. This was with HSBC premier this means if you have 60k in savings or earn over 100k per year you get a manager appointed to look after your accounts. My problem was that when l went away and used my HSBC bank card it would constantly be declined for no reason even though there was a considerable amount of money in that account. When phoning customer service you would be put through a call centre in India where l could not understand a word said, in the end l had to take a flight to Glasgow and walk into the bank to get this matter sorted. My appointed manager Kevin had to phone customer service on my behalf and he understood what l meant as he couldn't understand the customer service agent either. In the end l had to move banks due yo the issues not being resolved. Overall a pretty useless bank.
This is the worst customer service experience I have had in my entire life. The worst! Doesn't even respond to my queries when I go to the bank, just says contact customer service number which by the way will keep you waiting for more than 2 hours and then hang up. I made an international transaction 2 weeks back and its still not credited. The bank says they dont know the status of the transaction as its not something that concerns them.

Wide open space the bank offers wide range services. god customer care frendly service. Just updating the page new image of the HSBC bank taken 18/04/2018 the bank has its front door now located on Buchanan Street. with 2 cash machines and night safe on outside. Opening hours are displayed on window the image gives you better view whats going on inside bank. Just new image of the bank taken in Sept. Still free cash machine withdraws
