Great little mom and pop hobby shop! They have an excellent selection of RC planes, cars and trucks as well as models and rockets. Owners were very helpful and courteous. They pretty much offer the same prices as online. Particularly on the horizon line. They do not carry Traxxas, but there is a reason for that. It is getting harder and harder to find these sorts of shops in town, so help the local guys out and stop by Hurricane Hobbies. I promise you won't be disappointed!

The BAD....Have an older RC Car that needed some parts. Radio Shack Golden Arrow...Owner new nothing of this car. Understandable it is 30 years old car. Owner claimed to be an expert. Remember an expert/owner is also a sales-service rep. Be nice and help--that keeps your customers coming back. That is why people come to your store and yes pay extra for your advise and expertise. The owner would not help. What I did have was a list of all the parts that were needed to be ordered to upgrade the wheels and tires. Owner was not interested in helping/ordering parts. I do believe in helping out the local businesses. Geez i could have of ordered the parts on line and instead of driving to visited the store. Which if fact i did order on line. Come on people---customer service is key. I felt this store/owner was more interested in selling the car kits. I get the impression that their new customers are driving their new expensive cars kits around their yards as this owner was not helpful and kinda rude about how to get to the next level. Everyone is guilty---GUILTY OF BUYING. Remember that the next you judge anyone! The Good---The store is very nice with a lot of cool product. I would be happy to go back and shop.

What a great shop with great people. I went looking for a couple kits and some model building supplies. I was happy to find a nice selection of Tamyia and Testors paints. Lots of nice accessories like tape dispensers, putty tools, putty, sanding sponges and lots of other small bits. The staff were super nice and glad to support a small hobby shop like thud when given the opportunity!
