Delicious houtou, the signature cuisine of Yamanashi. Staff were friendly, interior was homely, the food portions were just right. The price point is fair in my opinion, and to my surprise they also featured a few exotic options like turtle meat and even beat meat houtou. I wonder how those would taste like!

Enjoy local speciality (Houtou) which combination of thick udon noodles with a thick broth. Big portion, should be shared with 2 person.
They serve really good hōtō. The grasshoppers are also really nice.

はじめての本場のほうとう。 きのこほうとうを注文。 思った以上に具沢山！かぼちゃもゴロゴロ大きく入っていました。ボリュームあります。 いろんな種類があるんですね〜。
2021/3/11 １４時過ぎに訪問 『小作』の大きな看板があるので、お店を見つけやすいです。(大きな水車も目印) 駐車場もかなり広いです。当日はコロナ禍の平日ということでほとんどお客さんはいませんでしたが、本来はおそらくかなり混むお店なんだと思います。 建物は古いですが趣があり、良かったです。 豚肉のほうとう(１４００円)を注文。 ボリュームが凄く一人前以上はあるような量でお腹を空かせていっても満腹になります。 2人で１つのほうとうを注文し、プラスで少しサイドメニューを注文するのがいいかなと思います。 お土産あり。 トイレあり。
コロナ対策もバッチリで、味も保証付きの旨さでした!
座敷もテーブル間隔１つ置きにしていて対策万全でした。
