Indian food and Traveling

After reading an article we went to this place with high expectations. This place is very close to our home , so went there with a friend. The basic thing that every restaurant do is to serve water in a glass but they didn't bother to serve water , only there was a water bottle kept on the table & no glass was provided . Now comes to the food part it was way below average in taste the dal/lentils was like the proportion of the water in the dal was much higher so there was no taste .The fish curry was on the sweeter side and I didn't like that but the quality of the fish was good , jackfruit curry was the only good thing about the whole meal.Very much disappointed with this place

I really love this place. This hotel is in central kolkata. Near college street more. I promise you u will never find better mid-budget hotel than Jagannath Hotel. I had visited it very often. I specifically went there for jhirijhiri fries. The fish here also served very good. Fine basmati rice, tasty vegetables,spicy dal— what else you can wish for . So if you ever come to college street after all this corona situation, do visit it once. You will love it.
