I've been going to Borgerkroen since early 00's and some things has changed a lot and some not. The type of guests has changed. From being your everyday quite sitting-at-the-desk Lager drinking fellows to now be more youngsters and regular going-out people. It is what it is. However, the atmosphere, the beers, the smoking and the interiors has not changed and is a perfect setting of a traditional Danish "værtshus". I love it and will continue to come here as long as it (or I) exists

Local Danish bar, not as dingy or cramped as some I have visited. Decent music and pint of Tuburg
Fantastic find open late and cheaper than usual bars in the centre. Lots of choice of beers including IPAs You can smoke in here but doesn't get too Smokey compared to other establishments.
I was about to go in this bar when I realised people were smoking inside. I'm amazed that the Danes still allow this. I decided to stay away to reduce the risk of lung cancer. Shame because it looks like a good place for a beer. The pub across the road is none smoking and was a nice place.
Nice warm place. Small, cozy hangout.
