Old people (and men) seem to love this restaurant, presumably because of the traditional, meat and dairy-based Danish menu, however there is nothing for vegetarians and they aren't really willing to accommodate vegetarian diners. Service is a bit brusque and disinterested. Good for groups as long as you all like to eat meat. Your Danish grandparents will love it.

I’ve eaten here off and on for fifty years with the eatery under different names and my mother back to the 1950s. Gracious, accommodating, incredibly delicious food and my first post Covid stop!

Very positive experience. We were actually skeptical about trying this place because we had read several reviews complaining about service level. Tonight at our first visit we had a great service by a waiter called Martin. He was kind all the way, taking very good care of the 4 of us and walking the extra mile for my girlfriend, who wasn't feeling so well. Martin made us feel really welcome, he always had a smile on his face and brought a good spirit to our table. Don't expect anything fancy: this is \just\ an authentic old school Danish restaurant, with meatballs, schnitzel, roasted pork, snaps, and all the other classics. The place is low key, but food is good and service is nice, much, much better than what I have read on previous reviews. Thank you Martin for making us feel welcome.

My first visit to this restaurant today during a business trip to Copenhagen and I was very satisfied with the food and service. Granted being a Dane the food served here fits my tastebuds nicely. It is classical danish dishes that are served and I am happy to see places like this still exists - a very nostalgic feeling that takes my thoughts back to my childhood. I am not sure what the dish I had, is called in English but I must say that the portion size was quite big! I couldn’t finish it even though I was quite hungry. The waiter was nice and service minded and hearing him speaking to other customers well versed in English - so definitely caters to tourists as well. I will come back and try out some other dishes, there were so many Danish dishes on that menu that I fell like eating so I need to visit again! Price was very fair - I paid 210 kr. for a Coca Cola Zero and a main dish - take note that the main dish I had could probably be shared amongst two people.

My family booked and went there for Christmas lunch. The service is actually the worst! The staff who seated us was discriminating against us (we're South East Asian) by putting us at the very corner and spoke to us like we couldn't understand English, even though we're replying in perfect English, better than his. The waitress was impatient while getting our orders and acting like she has better things to do. The food was alright, its a typical Danish bread with pickled herring, smoked salmon, etc.

Had the house specialty, a fish dish. Very good traditional Danish food. Our waiter was charming.
