We originally contacted Laura to conduct a personal and meaningful ceremony for our wedding. We started discussions around 8 weeks before the date. However, with 2020 even the best laid plans don’t survive very long. Rather than delay or cancel again, we made the bold move to bring forward our wedding, leaving just 4 days to prepare! When we approached Laura with our bonkers idea she not only embraced it but was wholly enthusiastic and supportive. She worked tirelessly to craft a beautiful ceremony in an impossibly small amount of time, and guided both bride and groom separately in writing vows and speeches. On the day Laura helped us with the usual nerves, and skilfully adapted to last minute delays and changes to the schedule. There was laughter and tears from all, it was every bit as special and marvellous as we’d wanted, even with all the restrictions of a 2020 wedding. After the event we received comments from all of our guests saying it was the most romantic and moving ceremony they’ve experienced (I quote “…the nicest I’ve ever been to.”). The compliments just keep coming – and they are all credit to Laura. We cannot thank nor recommend her services highly enough. If you want a ceremony that is truly yours, that you will remember for all the right reasons, Laura is the person you need.

Laura made an incredibly personal, funny and sentimental ceremony that we and all our friends and family loved. When we reminisce with friends about our wedding they all comment on the ceremony as the most memorable and special part. That's everyone from 20 year olds to 90 year old grandparents. It touched everyone. Thank you so much Laura, you are incredible.
We cannot thank Laura enough for the incredible ceremony she wrote and delivered for us. After only one conversation with us, she was able to capture everything that was important to us and portray us and our relationship perfectly. One of the guests had even thought she was a friend of ours as the ceremony had been so personal and moving, and quite a few people told us that it was the most moving and personal ceremony they had ever been to. We have Laura to thank for that. She has a real talent as a celebrant and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found her! Thank you Laura!
We asked Laura to create a naming ceremony for our daughter, with the strict instructions that it must be original, fun, funny and NOT full of sap (we're not big into sap)....... Of course SHE TOTALLY NAILED IT. Tonnes of fab ideas, beautiful story telling and LOLZ from start to finish. So glad we managed to sneak a celebration in with her before lockdown! Laura really brought an extra something to an already special day. I couldn't recommend her enough. We'd been lucky enough to see Laura acting as celebrant at our friends' wedding, and we decided straight away she'd be perfect for ours. Right from our first meeting she gave us every confidence we'd made the right choice, and made us very comfortable every step of the way - particularly when bringing out the personal touches that aren't always that easy to talk about outside family. Her script for our ceremony struck the perfect note - charming, funny, discreet in the right places - and she'd quickly change any part we wanted to tweak, or offer advice if we weren't sure. My partner and I both had our eyes set on a humanist wedding after we fell in love with the idea of having a personalised ceremony focusing solely on our story as a couple. Laura was personally recommended to us by family after they had attended another wedding conducted beautifully by her. They were in awe of how personal, and atmospheric the ceremony was and how she captivated the room. From our first meeting with Laura, we became excited over how our ceremony would be held! Laura spent time getting to know us individually and what brought us together as a couple. We felt at ease and happy that we knew and had gotten to know who would be conducting the most special part of our day. When Laura sent through the script of our ceremony, we were thrilled and so excited to actually get married and hear the real deal! Her wit, writing style and delivery is exceptional. We had a rehearsal the day before where Laura ran through with us what would happen and gave us and our bridal party some really good tips!!! It really put our minds at ease and on the day I felt so calm and confident walking down the aisle.... and it really allowed me to absorb more of the ceremony! We were absolutely thrilled with how Laura conducted our ceremony. It was so personal, lovely, full of laughter and just how we pictured it. Our friends and family were full of praise and really felt included and captivated. We really cannot recommend Laura highly enough. Thank you so, so much for giving us the wedding we had our hearts set on.
aura blew us away. Our ceremony was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect ceremony. Laura took her time to get to know mine and Kevin's relationship right from the beginning. We had so many comments from our guest about how it was lovely to hear our story of how we met, what we love about each other and what we hope for each other in the future. For most of our guest this was their first humanist ceremony and they were genuinely blown away by how perfectly tailored it was to Kevin and I. That was all down to Laura and her amazing skills!! We also had many comments that people could listen to Laura all day and I couldn't agree more :) Laura, thank you so much you where are huge part of our special day we where both over the moon and can't thank you enough!!
Laura made our wedding what almost all weddings aren’t - engaging. The guests enjoyed every bit of it - the laughter and the tears. The entire ceremony was specific to us and captured our relationship perfectly. The vignettes, the heartfelt humour, our story from start to finish was orated impeccably by the lovely Laura. Each of the guests approached us afterwards saying that it was the best wedding ceremony they’ve ever attended and I must agree. There is no better way to present a marriage to friends and family than Laura Gimson. She’s articulate beyond her years, poignant and meaningful.
