Lovely place to get lost in. Always new things you didn't quite notice before. Little jewel in the heart of Leeds. Excellent transport links

With very few places available during half-term at short notice I managed to book just a couple of days before we visited. It was a decent walk round but a lot smaller than I expected. We probably in and out within an hour so although the kids were allowed in for free, it was a little disappointing. Would recommend for those in Leeds anyway but not worth the drive from Sheffield on its own.
On a rainy day at Roundhay Park what better way to escape the misery than a tour around Tropical World. Fun for the kids and adults, it's a bit warm in there, (it is tropical after all) but if you can fight through the heat you'll see insects, snakes, fish, birds, meerkats, butterflies and monkeys! Lots of exotic trees and plants too if that's your thing. It's all a one way system so you can see everything, no stairs if you have a pram or wheelchair. After you've done, you can walk around the park to cool down.
Great place price is very sensible for the experience and you can easily spend a good couple of hours here has a cafe with clean facilities also we took our 2 year old and he loved it!
Loved Tropical World in Leeds. Went with the family. Lots to see. There is a gift shop on your way in directly in front of the entrance and a cafe just to the right. There is a garden that you could eat your own food in as there are also seats. 7.50 an adult. 3.50 for a child and under 2 Yr old are free. There are lots of animals to see and butterflies that fly around freely. There is no parking on site but the roads opposite are available free of charge. All in all a good day out. Well recommended place to visit.
