Recently (18-10-20) had a Sunday roast there. All the food looked great. I opted for the vegetarian option. Sadly the nut loaf was mediocre at best (though everything else on the plate was fine). There are certainly great recipes out there for tasty nut roasts, but this wasn’t one of them. Maybe it was an ‘off day’ for their veggie food prep?

Great specials menu, delicious food and fantastic service, what more do you want?! The cockle chowder was particularly fantastic, but there were so many great menu options, we'll have to come again. Also - their care for their customers during the pandemic felt exemplary.
What a perfect restaurant perfectly situated in a quaint fishing village. Service was excellent accommodating us as we were a bit early. Food was delicious and exceptional portion sizes. Lovely ambience. Our waiter made our visit really enjoyable and was very attentative 5
Visited Leigh on sea for the first time in many years. With two elderly in laws in tow, who wanted a Sunday roast, we went in search of a restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the choice and quality of establishments. Everywhere was very busy but we chose the Peterboat because of the comfortable covered patio area which was suitable for two wheelchair guests. The friendly welcoming staff were very helpful and attentive. The food arrived in an acceptable time considering how busy they were. The in-laws had traditional Sunday roasts which looked delicious(and were). I had seafood chowder served in a cottage loaf which was extremely delicious. My wife had a roast beef ciabatta. We really enjoyed our visit, which was much more if a restaurant experience, rather than the pub lunch we were expecting.
Despite Lockdown, they were serving drinks and fried food with chips to take away. We had scampi and it was delicious. The chips were great too. Crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. We have been back again!
