Amazing and very special place, whatever your religion maybe. True holly and devoted place to be withing. Very worthwhile the drive and visit. Hope you like it as much as I did.

Quite impressive but as of end of July undergoing restauration works. The shrine of the Virgin of Loreto is quite small and the virgin itself is small as well. The plaza in front of the basilica is almost as beautiful as the church itself. Lots of small shops selling all kinds of items related to the virgin can be found in the nearby narrow streets and its mainly tourist stuff. But the center surrounding the basilica is lovely. If you want to buy good local food specialties paired with a lovely owner you need to pay a visit to Panificio Consalvi directly by the main place of the basilica.
