Pro tip: order the lunch for the day (menu del dia): 2 main dishes plus dessert for 8.90Euro. good deal! Service is very fast; professional staff. Into carbs? Order spaghetti in tomato sauce Pollo Curry.

Casa Fidel was a great find in Madrid. The space is small, with only about 15 tables, which makes it great for more intimate encounters as well as catching up with friends. The staff is really friendly and the service has a nice pace to it. Every single dish we ordered was delicious, and the portions were just right. Add good pricing to that equation and you have a restaurant I will definitely be visiting again when in town!

Really good food. Every dish was good. Had the tripe, the rice with squid ink, the oxtail in wonton skin, the tiramisu and the apple tart. I definitely recommend these.

Real homefood taste of Madrid. The classical bar that resist the time and the new fashion bar. Excellent price and quality.

Tucked away in a side-street, but worth hunting out, Casa Fidel offers the economical set menu found everywhere in Madrid, but in much more pleasant surroundings. The decor is colourful and unique and the space is light and airy. You'll be eating with a hip, young crowd, and eating very well-ingredients are fresh, and almost everything on the menu is homemade. All-in-all, a great place to eat well and escape the midday Madrid heat if you're there in Summer; and the staff speak English, which is a plus in Madrid.
