Merveille. How happy I was to finally get to l’Empereur. Give yourself time to discover or rediscover.
My only review is that it’s worth living in the city of Marseille just for this store.
This is a must! Full of local traditional goods, perfectly located close to the old harbour. You should go and buy Marseille soap (I would personally recommend Fer a cheval for the olive oil version but the white Marius Fabre because it I without Palma oil). Anyway, you will find the visit exquisite.

You have to visit this shop! You'll find plenty \traditional\ items (tableware, jars, hardwares, cleaning supplies, vintage toys, very durable stuff of all kind). You can even have a drink if you go up the stairs.
This has to be the most amazing store I have ever been to! If you need anything for your household, you will find it there.
A wonderful traditional hardware shop. Virtually no plastic to be seen at all. The oldest hardware shop in France. Worth a visit, I went twice!
