When in town, so at the best po boy shop in the area. This place had been around longer than me and has continued to deliver absolutely delicious and quick food throughout the decades. There is limited seating at the moment, but even this is some right. The staff is doing a phenomenal job of keeping the place spotless and the crowds minimized. The drive thru is rolling non stop and the counter isn't missing a beat. So swing in, order king sized, roast beef or shrimp, and prepare to make a mess. Bring plenty of napkins.

I have been a loyal customer since 1977. No trip to New Orleans would be complete for myself, or my family, without a trip to Short Stop for a poboy. Made to order with fresh and plentiful ingredients, prices are reasonable for these overstuffed sandwiches. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed eating here.

As good as it gets Po'boy wise. You won't be disappointed. The gumbo is rather good as well.

Omg this place is by far my favorite place in NO. I had a shrimp po boy and a gumbo and the po boys was good but that gumbo was slapping.

Open early, freshly made, stuffed full of lightly battered seafood: really wonderful! Staff very efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!
