I’m sorry but I have to disagree. I have been to this shop several times now over the last couple years, each time hoping for a better outcome. This shop is clique’ and has an air of self importance. When you walk in you are stared at by the “regulars”. None of whom greet you or are inclusive. The yarn is priced about the same as every other small local owned shop but trying to ask for help of get attention if you are not part of the MP group is difficult. It’s like being sent to the end of the line. This is not just a one off review either. It’s happened several times. Even durning yarn crawls. Which they did not participate in this year. My suggestion: right now with the situation being the way it is, try to be more friendly to those who walk into your store who you don’t immediately recognize. You never know how much money we might have spent.

There is good natural light in the store, so you can get a better idea of color than in some of the big box or small, dark shops that sell yarn. They have a good selection of yarn in different price ranges. The yarn seems fresh...not like it's been on the shelf for years. When I need a good yarn I will go here for it. It's easy to find, right off RT. 14.

As a beginner, I felt that the shop was very encouraging and supportive, while not in any way condescending. There were so many beautiful yarns, and the staff (Emily) helped me select a pattern that matched my (poor) ability, the correct weight of yarn to use, and then I took the class so I would get help as I moved through process. The instructor (Darlene) was patient, and gave me that support and instruction I needed to complete the project. I am so pleased with the end result. I cannot compare this shop to other yarn shops, as I am a beginner. But I do know that I was treated well, got a quality product and enjoyed my time learning at Mosaic Yarn Studio.
