One-way funicular ticket was the same as a bus ticket. The funicular ride was fast & fine, not a lot of views. What I didn’t understand was the lack of automatic ticket machine and that the ticket office didn’t sell funicular tickets - had to buy them in the tobacco shop... but why?!

We came from metro L2 for furnicular, but they are not in the same station, and the signage for transit is not clear at all. Also, beware that for furnicular, there is a particular gate at ground level. If u use wrong gate to get in, you might ruin your ticket.

Badly maintained, although very small they still managed to make confusion with lack of any valid signs or markings. Dirty as Napoli in global.

Station for Funicolare Montensanto, Cumana, Circumflegrea. Metro line 2 is 100mt NW on Via Olivella (left when exiting this station).

First of all, beware: that's not the Funicolare Centrale station but the Metro 2 transit stop. Secondarily, it is usefully located in the hearth of the upper old town, but badly served and kept even worse. Positive note: you can take from here trains that go directly to Caserta or Pozzuoli.

Can only confirm the other reviews. And don't expect them to help you in English. Only Italiano. So we ended up with the wrong tickets and wrong train and etc etc etc Luckely I started to cry or they probably called the police or settled it Italian way.
