Wellesley Co-operative is such a wonderful play-based preschool - it has been the perfect place for my two boys. The playground is wonderful, and they get outside often which I appreciate. The big brown barn is a warm and welcoming environment for the children. And the lunch bunch options of 1pm or 2:30 are great! I like their flexibility! So grateful to have found this place when we moved to the area!

WCNS is an incredible school. The classrooms and playground are creative and engaging like no other program around. The kids get to play in forts in the classroom, have music time everyday, create a variety of projects, and play outside as long as the weather is safe. The teachers are warm, loving and many have been there for several years. The school always welcomes parents or family members to volunteer in the school or stop by to read a story or do an activity with the class. Another one of my favorite parts of the school is that the teachers post pictures daily, in a private group, of what the kids did in class. It is so helpful to actually see what your kids are doing in school. If you’re on the school search I highly recommend checking out Wellesley Coop! We love it!
I can’t speak highly enough about Wellesley Cooperative Nursery School. We chose WCNS because of their play based philosophy and couldn’t be happier with it. We have witnessed our boys grow through play, experiences, and wonder. The teachers are so warm and welcoming as the children experience school for the first time. Music time with Miss Jackie, the loft, the amazing trucks on the playground, the writing table, and lunch bunch with friends are some of the things my kids cherish most about their time at WCNS. Our children absolutely love “the big brown barn.”
The perfect place for our biggest little one- and the 2nd babe will head there next year! We love WCNS- the environment is warm and encourages fantastic play based learning for the kiddos. Having had a new baby when we started, the in car drop off and pick up could not have been more valuable. We have been constantly impressed with the teachers and activities and most importantly, our daughter says at least once a week “I love school!” Invaluable!! Can not recommend highly enough.
I am a current parent (and alum!) of WCNS in South Natick. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this terrific and authentic nursery school experience, where little kids can be little kids! As a “Junior” at WCNS our son is learning to share, play with other children, be away from Mom and Dad and has grown so much as a creative young learner. Our other son graduated as a “Senior” last year, and WCNS provided the perfect balance of structure and PLAY for him. The teachers are so experienced and nurturing in this active and vibrant learning environment. Collaboration and interpersonal relationships are emphasized in WCNS’ program, which are so critical for our childrens’ educational path these days. Emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, social skills and kindness in education are becoming more important than ever, and these early years are the true foundation. We love WCNS and think you would too!
