We had a 1pm reservation but wasn't seated until 1:45. This is not aaceptable. Why make reservations if u still have to wait. Had the catfish and it was to die for so that was worth the wait. Oh yeah the shrimp and grits were delicious as well. Also they need to install wall fans in the front of the restaurant near the bar because it was extremely hot. Oh yeah dont order the fruit Lemonade. It tasted like watered down fruit juice and very bitter.

loved my food catfish and grits the first time. didn't like the turkey meatloaf the second time, but the staff is superb and professional. Its important for me as a African American female to go somewhere we own and to see US be professional. I have recommended it often

I made reservations in early December for Christmas Eve. I kept checking the website and all of their social media for any indication that there would be a problem. 2 days before Christmas eve they posted a pic of their new outdoor dining which was a sign there would not be a problem with my reservation. THEN they all on CHRISTMAS EVE 3 HOURS BEFORE my reservation to tell me they weren't \technically\ open.. I asked why they were just calling me since it was a holiday evening making it hard to make a new reservation and their response was \sorry bout that\. NOT \we'd like to make it up to you\ Just \Sorry bout that\ Mind you my daughter and I are in town from another state and I had done some specific planning so we could have a great Christmas Eve. Thanks BLVD for nothing...

To say that the food was great is an understatement. It was fabulous! I changed my mind several times and settled on the Southern Dinner with fried chicken. The buttermilk biscuits that came before dinner tasted like my grandma's! I also enjoyed the Spiked Tea. (Prosecco mixed with a sweet tea infusion.) It may be a bit sweet for some but it is exactly what I needed. This is now my go to soul food restaurant when I visit NYC. Next I must try the brunch. Last but not least. The staff is very friendly and made us feel at home. Not something you find a lot these days.

The food was not to my liking. I would've not rate unfortunately I had too. This is my first time & will be my last. Ion know if today was a bad day to go, but they should seek out a new cook. Sorry but not sorry... This is a response to the owner, don't be upset that I was very dissatisfied with my food I am entitled to my opinion & you should know how to take criticism & not be offended this would be a good time for you to make some changes within your staff‼️You're in a business where people will truthful & rate‼️So get use to it‼️
