They still open for outdoor dining, but very few New Yorkers done that. The staffs are all very friendly, even though they’re very busy preparing online orders. Please try the Eggnog Waffle and Southern Style Chicken. It’s amazing! The famous Meatloaf also good :)

I Melba's, she has the absolute best veggie wrap I have ever had in my life. My 1st experience was during elections 4 years ago. Melba's was giving out carrot cake slices to voters. Last year was my 1st experience with the veggie wraps. I wish you forever Blessings upon Blessings, and longevity in the community. God Bless you all.
[A poem on heartbreak] I never knew there was a bitter taste to syrup But when I brought the assumed sweetness to my lips It betrayed me and Forced its way down my throat. Waffle, crusted fried chicken Red Velvet Cake, creamy, white icing a dollop of brown glue and pink slime Melba, how could you? Bring my insides out again when I put the warm waffle to my lips I couldn’t forget how you lifted me and warmed my insides and rocked me to sleep well now the sun is rising And I am sick to my stomach So five stars for the way that You make me stay missing your sweet syrup that almost grazed my lips
My friends and I were very excited to try this restaurant as we heard it was a great place to dine . Some of the items we selected from the menu were : salmon, fried chicken , collard greens , macaroni and cheese and candy yams . The food was not a complete disappointment, but needless to say we won’t revisit this place any time soon. The macaroni and cheese was bland and there was minimal cheese on there. We reheated the macaroni and cheese in anticipation of it becoming more cheesy, but that did not happen . The candy yams were overly sweet. The fried chicken was hit or miss as some of our chicken pieces were flavorful while others weren’t . The salmon could have been seasoned a little bit more . The collard greens were delicious. If you do visit this establishment, be selective with what you order .
This was my second time to Melbas’s. The outdoor dining set up was perfect. There are chairs and tables on each side of the sidewalk and also in the street which is blocked off. There are also booths available however you have to reserve the booths it’s first come first serve. There are many seats so the wait isn’t long to be seated. Our waiter Brian was absolutely superb. He was so professional, attentive, and friendly. There is a QR Code for you to scan to view the menu. There are two restrooms in the restaurant you must wear your mask when entering the restaurant. The food was delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. Your food comes out in a bag in to go trays with utensils inside as well as condiments. What really tipped it off a member of our party was celebrating a birthday and the staff surprised her by singing Happy Birthday to her. I will definitely be back. I’m thinking about the food already. I forgot to take pictures before we started eating please excuse the eaten food. If you’re looking for some feet soul food Melba’s is the place.
