I'd like to give this branch a good review from having visited, but I can't - as I didn't get to visit them. I needed to transfer a large amount of money and was told by the Barclays call centre that I'd have to do it in my local branch as there's a 20k limit online. Fine. What do I need to bring along? Guy couldn't really confirm. Ok I said, I'm 12 miles from the Newry branch so I don't want to waste a 24 mile round trip if I haven't brought exactly the correct types of proof of address etc in order to get a cashier to transfer a 6-figure sum. So I tried to call the branch to clarify. No chance - time was I had a number for them but now it's all call centre nonsense. So I tried to get put through via the call centre but the Indian call centre lady ended up transferring me (after a 25 minute delay) to some branch in Wales. Tried again - 45 minutes passed with no one picking up the phone to answer the call centre's attempts to contact them. Asked them to leave a message for branch manager to contact me - nothing. Same next day. And the next, because I still wasn't going to chance 24 miles driving to be told I couldn't send that kind of money without some other piece of ID. I then raised a complaint - 4 weeks on I've heard nothing. So - Barclays in Newry, you're useless. Thanks for nothing. And the next time (which won't be too long) that I sell a building and pocket a very large sum of money, it won't be going to a Barclays account at all.

Arrived on site today at 16.28 GMT to be faced with a shut door Not ideal especially when the road the bank is located on is completely closed due to roadworks and you travelled 9 miles to reach the bank Was told by the cashier when she let the last customer out at 16.31 they were closed as she shut the door
