Lovely looking church very close to the train station. Didn't go in as there were services going on most of the time that we passed. Did go just after Christmas so there were more than usual. Seemed very popular with the locals.

From the outside, the basilica was looking unfinished to me, lacking the steeples of many of churches. But apparently this is it, and was based on another church with a similar look. So the flat-topped towers definitely provide a distinctive image and are the dominant feature to me on the outside. On the inside, the design is very simple. None of the flowery ornateness of some churches or cathedrals; focusing instead on the wide open space of the interior under a vaulted ceiling. The stained glass windows are also very impressive works themselves.
A haven from the hustle and bustle of the shopping/commercial area of Nice. A more modern interpretation of a gothic cathedral with many lovely stained glass windows. If visiting the churches in Nice, don't forget the other cathedral and parish churches in the old city.
Beautiful church..you can enter for free. Nice location too, from the church, you can walk down the street to the shopping centre.
Nice Avenue to walk till the up street market. Wide enough to walk and to enjoy some coffee on the way
Beautiful French Gothic style church
The inside is reasonably smart but the outside when lit up at night is better, as it really brings an atmosphere to the building. This has to be one of the largest churches in Nice, however it is more of a place of worshop that a tourist attraction. Well worth a short visit to look around to see some of the artwork and the statues. Quite well lit inside because of the large windows. Easy to sit for a few moments of quiet contemplation.
It's very beautiful on the outside and on the inside! A great place to pray if you want to.
