For Cruise passengers that wanted to go to Bangkok from this port be prepared to spend 2.5 hours on road one way. I choose to go Pattaya City which are just an hour or less away from port. Depends on time and traffic. Better well spend for your limited 8 hour time before cruise ship departs on 8 Pm ( you should start your day trip early not later than 10am) be prepared to spend 3900 Baht for a 9 seater Toyota Commuter Taxi round trip, 8 hours rental. Always ask for a driver that can communicate well in english at least. Not much choice because no regular taxis to be found. Can try for Grab if you are lucky to order one. My itinerary that day are as follows... Kao Chi Chan, Tiger Park, optional Floating market if time permits, Big Buddha and Pattaya Viewpoints before head down to the Central Pattaya Mall. Should head back to port from mall not later than 5.30pm local Thailand time.

Decent and peaceful port! Good stevedores! Awesome view nearby! Liked the visit!
Nice port in Thailand, but hard to find taxi to go to the city.
Ok good can come in side parking and waiting for VIP breakfast and check out.
This port has access to Pattaya which is 40 minutes away and much closer than Bangkok if you're looking for seedy nightlife. Taxis to Pattaya will try to charge US70 one way but accepted my offer of 1,000 baht. Coming back will be cheaper. My cat has a fluffy tail.
