Had a lovely trip to Dunollie! Due to COVID restrictions, the building is closed but they arw offering guided tours. Our guide was lovely and very informative. We were able to go up to the first floor of the castle which has only been possible for a few days. The views from the castle are stunning! After the tour we were free to walk through the grounds.

Really good short tour (1/2 hour 10.30 & 2.30?), superb views from the castle, interesting small museum. Gardens and walk worth investigating. Good coffee and refreshments including light lunch dishes. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nice walk from Oban along the old road is worth doing.

The staff was great and the toilets clean! I loved seeing the cattle and the most amazing thing was going up to the castle as seeing the view and feeling the peace that I felt being up there. My rating is only 4 because I believe it is too expensive for what we get (6) per person.

What an amazing view from the Castle. Very friendly staff and lovely scones at tea room. Small gift shop but very good quality scarfs and blankets in traditional MacDougall tartan. Well worth the visit..and open every day of the week.

Stopped here on my way to the Isle of Skye and was pleasantly surprised, truth be told there is not much of the castle that you can physically look around as there are phases of work taking place to improve it. Please don’t take this as a detractor as I enjoyed the grounds and museum and to top it all the views from the castle ruins were fantastic.

Great little walk around the gardens, we sat for a while and read in a wonderful willow covered area. The castle itself is a ruin that you cant really access, but gives a great high viewpoint. The museum in the house was the best bit with some really interesting information on display. The cafe outside was also great- the chocolate milkshake was incredible! Very reasonably priced. We walked from Oban, it took approximately 30 minutes to get there. Parking was also available.
